With Sterling Byrd dead and a mound silver from his bounty, the Harney brothers are nearly able to open their portal and return to their home world. That is, if they can locate the second half of their conduit, which Sterling seems to have passed on to an unknown source. When reformed spirit Jem offers to help them locate the missing part of the conduit, their travels thrust them into a new and monumental adventure. The monstrous entities and Rangers patrolling the Outlands aren't the only dangers the gang must face-a mysterious masked man continues appearing on their travels... and he seems hell-bent on capturing Halston.
