The study of drugs, including their origins, history, applications, and properties, is referred to as pharmacology. It primarily focuses on how drugs affect the body. A substance that is used to treat, cures, or prevent a disease or improve physical or mental health is considered a drug. From the Greek words pharmacies, which means medicine or drug, and logos, which means study, we get the word pharmacology.
